Sheet music
- 1Hark the Christmas bells are ringing,On the starry midnight calm; And the angels choirs are singingHear the glad triumphant psalm.Christmas bells, glad(Hark, the Christmas bells are ringing,)Christmas bells,(Christmas, Christmas bells;)Birth of Christ their chiming tells; (chiming tells;)Peace on earth they yet proclaim,Glory to the Savior‘s name.
- 2Over mount, and hill and valley,Swift the songs celestial go;Now with quick exultant measure,Now again they whisper low.Christmas bells, glad(Hark, the Christmas bells are ringing,)Christmas bells,(Christmas, Christmas bells;)Birth of Christ their chiming tells; (chiming tells;)Peace on earth they yet proclaim,Glory to the Savior‘s name.
- 3Peace on earth, the choirs are singing,Floateth now the song afar; And the air with joy is ringing,While with brightness shines the star.Christmas bells, glad(Hark, the Christmas bells are ringing,)Christmas bells,(Christmas, Christmas bells;)Birth of Christ their chiming tells; (chiming tells;)Peace on earth they yet proclaim,Glory to the Savior‘s name.
- 4Harping still the angels o‘er us,Glory be to God on high;Sweetly now we join the chorus,Ringing thru the azure sky.Christmas bells, glad(Hark, the Christmas bells are ringing,)Christmas bells,(Christmas, Christmas bells;)Birth of Christ their chiming tells; (chiming tells;)Peace on earth they yet proclaim,Glory to the Savior‘s name.
