- 1Jesus, royal, heav’nly Friend,On thy kindness we depend;Rich and poor and great and small,Thou has gracious words for all.Great of heart such Friend to be,Best of all a Friend to me!Let my life Thy praise extend,Jesus, ev’rybody’s Friend.
- 2None so poor or pressed with care,But their burdens He doth share;Tho’ our friends take other ways,His dear presence with us stays.Great of heart such Friend to be,Best of all a Friend to me!Let my life Thy praise extend,Jesus, ev’rybody’s Friend.
- 3But the kindest deed of all,Was our ransom from the fall;Godlike friendship! freely HeDied for nations, died for meGreat of heart such Friend to be,Best of all a Friend to me!Let my life Thy praise extend,Jesus, ev’rybody’s Friend.
