Sheet music
- 1We are trav’ling onward to the land unseen,Happy on our way, we are trav’ling home!Where the lovelights linger on the evergreen,–On the upward way we are trav’ling home!Trav’ling home, trav’ling home,(Trav’ling to our home, to our home on high,)To our home on Canaan’s shore;Where the soul never dies,(happy soul, never, never dies,)But will live for evermore.
- 2Walking by the Savior I will never fear,Happy on our way, we are trav’ling home!In His presence living, I will know He’s near,–On the upward way we are trav’ling home!Trav’ling home, trav’ling home,(Trav’ling to our home, to our home on high,)To our home on Canaan’s shore;Where the soul never dies,(happy soul, never, never dies,)But will live for evermore.
- 3There is peace unending on this heav’nly road, Happy on our way, we are trav’ling home!I have joy and light along this way to God,–On the upward way we are trav’ling home!Trav’ling home, trav’ling home,(Trav’ling to our home, to our home on high,)To our home on Canaan’s shore;Where the soul never dies,(happy soul, never, never dies,)But will live for evermore.
- 4There is joy in trav’ling on the King’s highway,Happy on our way, we are trav’ling home! While the smile of Jesus gladdens ev’ry day,–On the upward way we are trav’ling home!Trav’ling home, trav’ling home,(Trav’ling to our home, to our home on high,)To our home on Canaan’s shore;Where the soul never dies,(happy soul, never, never dies,)But will live for evermore.
