Sheet music
- 1There's light in the valley of shadows,No longer the darkness I fear; For Jesus is reigning in glory,My strength and my light ever near. Then whispering hope,(Whispering hope, O, how gentle thy voice,)O, how gentle thy voice;(Making my heart in its sorrow rejoice;)Making my heart(Whispering hope, O, how gentle thy voice,) in its sorrow rejoice.(Making my heart in its sorrows rejoice.)
- 2There's hope for the sad and despondent,Who suffer in silence alone;Amid their bereavements and sorrow,O'ercome by the weight of their gloom.
- 3There's joy for the wayward and lonely,Afar from their own native place;A home and a welcome are waiting,A Father with sweet smiling face.
- 4There's comfort and help for the dying,A rod and a staff for the way;A guide who securely will lead themTo realms of an uncloudy day.
